The President of BenueTech Community has been recognized with the Ideal Youth Icon of the Year 2025 award by Treasure House Book Club (THBC), a youth-centered non-governmental organization focused on literacy, leadership, and community development.

The award recognizes sustained impact in youth empowerment, digital skills development, and community-driven innovation across Benue State and beyond.

Speaking on the recognition, the BenueTech President emphasized that the award reflects collective effort rather than individual achievement, highlighting the consistent work and measurable impact of BenueTech Foundation and Maxify Global in building inclusive and sustainable tech ecosystems.

Over the years, BenueTech’s work has focused on:

  • Building inclusive and sustainable tech communities in Benue State
  • Connecting tech professionals of Benue origin across the globe
  • Creating practical pathways for digital skills development
  • Supporting career growth, mentorship, and job readiness
  • Enabling startup building and innovation for thousands of young people

According to the President, the recognition affirms the importance of community-first initiatives that prioritize people, access, and long-term opportunity over visibility. It also reinforces the belief that intentionally built ecosystems naturally lead to scalable impact.

The award was received on his behalf by Kengkeng Ati, a close collaborator and long-time supporter of the BenueTech mission.

He further expressed gratitude to the BenueTech team, volunteers, partners, mentors, startup founders, professionals in the diaspora, and the many young people who have trusted the platform as a stepping stone in their tech journey.

As BenueTech continues its work, the commitment remains firm: to strengthen Benue’s tech ecosystem and expand access to opportunities for the next generation.
