BENKids4AI is a school outreach programme designed to help Senior Secondary School 3 (SS3) students understand what artificial intelligence is, how it works, and how it is being used across different professions and industries.
Through interactive school visits, the programme creates an opportunity for students to explore how AI relates to their future, regardless of the career path they intend to pursue.
The goal is to build awareness, spark curiosity, and give young people the confidence to understand and participate in an increasingly AI-driven world.
BENKids4AI is not a technical training or certification programme. It is an introduction to a technology that will increasingly shape the world students are preparing to enter.
From our first school visit to subsequent outreach activities, BENKids4AI is taking artificial intelligence awareness into classrooms across Makurdi. Explore the highlights and milestones from each visit.
BENKids4AI will culminate in an annual AI Quiz Competition in September 2027, bringing together students from participating schools to demonstrate their understanding of artificial intelligence.
The competition will recognise outstanding schools and students, with trophies, medals, certificates, and educational support for top-performing participants.
Scholarship opportunity: The top 15 students across the three winning teams will receive scholarships covering 100% of their WAEC and NECO examination fees.
