BenueTech Foundation is Nigeria’s first tech-focused NGO rooted in Benue State. Founded in 2023 by Tersoo Hulugh, we started as a WhatsApp community of a handful of ambitious young people and have grown into a registered foundation with over 540 members across 8 countries.
We are not just a network. We are a movement, connecting talent to opportunity, mentoring the next generation of builders, spotlighting Benue-born startups, and proving that where you grow up does not have to limit how far you go.
Every program we run is designed to close a real gap, in skills, access, mentorship, or visibility. Whether you are just starting out in tech, building your first startup, or looking to give back as a mentor, there is a place for you here.
Our flagship initiative spotlights and supports startups founded by Benue innovators. We help founders validate ideas, gain visibility, connect with mentors, and access investment-readiness support. Past featured startups have won national hackathons and competed on global stages.
We pair aspiring professionals and early-stage founders with experienced tech leaders across Nigeria and the diaspora. 51 mentees and 25 mentors participated in 2025 alone, covering software development, product design, data science, and machine learning.
Our annual pitch competition gives founders the platform to present their ventures to investors, ecosystem partners, and the wider tech community. This is where Benue-built ideas meet the world.
Monthly virtual sessions covering in-demand tech careers, emerging technologies, and industry insights, hosted by experts from Benue and beyond. Free, accessible, and practically focused.
A monthly safe space for honest, human conversations about career pressure, burnout, growth, and what it actually means to build a life in tech. Hosted in a relaxed format to strengthen trust and real connection within the community.
A weekly knowledge challenge that blends learning with healthy competition. The first three members to answer correctly win ₦1,000 data each. In 2025, it had 30 prize winners, and thousands of people learning.
